Keeping at it

I feel like I’ve hit a bit of a plateau in my painting. My lack of any sort of formal training is leaving me feeling like I’m struggling to paint what I’m in the mood to do. I’ve been watching some you tube videos that are great for talking about subjects and techniques I’m not as familiar with, but applying them is a bit more of a challenge. My hope is to find someone I can take some private lessons from. I’m not really much for realistic paintings, but I’m lacking the skills to expand on what I want to do with my work.

That being said, don’t be surprised to find some “interesting”work posted in the future. I know the best way I can improve is to try something I’m bad at. Apologies in advance!
