I set up a booth at my church’s Christmas Bazaar this weekend and had a great time! It was like my own little gallery and I had a lot of people stop by and appreciate my art. On top of that I sold three pieces – my first official sale ever!

My first sale was Frozen sold to one of the ladies working the bazaar that day. She had looked at my art before the show and came to find me to make sure she could get it as she loved it so much! Good thing too as I had at least three other people disappointed that it had already sold!

They set me up in a nice spot for the show and I even had a nice view outside along with some great natural lighting. I lost count of how many people stopped by between 8am and 2pm so the time went by fast.

So now I have some planning to do as I figure out what outdoor art festivals to sign up for along with getting a tent and figuring out how all that is going to be set up. I can’t really use what I did for this show – it was Styrofoam board, like they use for outside wall insulation in building houses, covered in drop cloths.
It works great indoors as you can easily cut it to the size you need, but it’s too light to use outside. For now the boards will go back to our basement where I hand my paintings on it like I did for the show – it makes a great backdrop for my office zoom calls when I’m working.
