Rainbow Sunday
This Sunday at church we had “Rainbow Sunday” talking about Noah’s Ark. They decorated with balloons and streamers the colors of the rainbow. I ended up inspired by it and made the painting that evening!

Based on the waterfall at Cat Hollow Park in Connecticut – not to far from home. I based it on photos I’ve seen of the place and I’m looking forward to painting it again after I get a chance to go visit first hand!
I’m hoping to be hanging some artwork in a local restaurant as part of an ongoing exhibit for the Art Guild Northeast. It’s the first time I’ve done something like that and I needed more fall based paintings as that is the theme. It’s going to be at The Courthouse Bar and Grille in Putnam
So this is based on a view I had while walking to the office on Wednesday morning before some storms rolled in later that day. I work in Boston in the seaport area and I get this view walking on the bridge walking into seaport from south station. I’m really enjoying my commute and office
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here and thought I would catch up. We are now in our new home in Danielson, CT and I’m really enjoying it. The moving process has really kept me from my hobbies more than normal, but I do have a few paintings to post: Our rental house
I’m a little late in posting this as I originally finished it July 14th, 2022. I painted this based on a photo from New England. Getting myself in the mood for some new scenery to paint as we plan our move to the Boston area later this year.
I feel like I’ve hit a bit of a plateau in my painting. My lack of any sort of formal training is leaving me feeling like I’m struggling to paint what I’m in the mood to do. I’ve been watching some you tube videos that are great for talking about subjects and techniques I’m not
I haven’t been keeping up with posting my paintings. I’ve managed more than I realized I had given changing jobs has keep me rather busy.
Yesterday I finished up the above painting. I had originally planned on a forest in the front, but decided against it as I really liked the meadow look.
While the 30 days of art are complete, I still have the drive to keep painting! This morning I finished the house below, which I started yesterday. The wolf at the waterfall I did the previous day. One final picture for today. I just had that need to get a little more painting in this
